Want to rent an item for your own use? Here are answers to some questions you may have...

How do I search for an item?

You can search for an item by Keyword and type in the area of your choice by Town, City or Postcode. Then select the search radius from the dropdown menu.

You can also browse by Category. Click the titles for a dropdown menu to open with the sub-categories.

On all of the RentMyItems pages you can click through to Browse Items through the link at the top or bottom of the page.

Once you have entered your search parameters into RentMyItems you will be taken to your Search Results page. All items will be organised into Categories and Sub-Categories. You can filter all of the items in each category by clicking on the link or the checkbox.

You can view the items by List or Map, filter the results by Rental Price Low and High, and Price per Day and Week.

All items can be enlarged when rolling over any part of the image.

When you have selected an item to view you will be taken to the Item Information page for a full view of the item including Item Location map and comments from other members on the item and the option to share a comment you may have about the item.

If you wish to rent the item click on the Rent It! button.

When you have clicked the Rent It! button a pop-up box will appear where you can use our calendar to select your desired rental date and then enter the number of days you wish to rent the item for. You can also, if needed, enter a message for the Rentor. When complete simply click “Contact The Rentor” and an email notification will be sent to the Rentor.

How do I pay for an item rental?

This is up to you and the Rentor who will indicate to you their preferred method of payment when you make contact. This may be cash, cheque or online payment such as PayPal.
